(Texas) – On Friday night, Border Patrol agents at the U.S.-Mexico border detained Real American Voice journalists at gunpoint.
RAV reporter Ben Bergcam posted a video of himself trapped behind a border patrol vehicle where a BP agent is seen holding his gun.
“And all of this is happening with 60 illegal people just standing by the wall, no problem,” Bergcam said.

Just The News reports:
Journalists on the Real America Voice TV network were detained by border patrol agents at the South American border on Friday, describing a reporter as being “caught at gunpoint” during an open crossing of illegal immigrants in the United States.
Ben Bergkoam, a reporter for the Voice of America, with whom Just the News partnered, posted a video depicting him on the back of a border patrol vehicle, showing a border patrol agent instructing Bergcam colleagues with his gun.
In an exclusive statement to Just the News, Bergcam said he had “come to this part of the border many times, with and without law enforcement escorts, and never had encounters like this.”
“While we have full respect for law enforcement, we were shocked to be apprehended at gunpoint as illegal immigrants looked to the right after crossing our southern border,” he continued. “This incident reflects the priorities behind our leaders in Washington, unfortunately, as the border crisis is getting worse by the day.”
RAV CEO Howard Diamond said that “such targeting of journalists is rare in America.”
