Georgia man sentenced to 30 years in prison for child abuse in Indiana and South Carolina

Indianapolis – Matthew Walker, 28, of Augusta, Georgia, has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a child.

According to court documents, he exploited 3 Indiana children and 2 South Carolina children.

In 2019, Walker was involved in sexually explicit Snapchat contact with two minor boys in South Indiana. While using Snapchat, Walker introduced herself as a teenage girl, persuading minors to create and send pictures and videos of them engaging in sexually explicit behavior. Police say Walker threatened the minors that he would send pictures and videos of them to their families if they did not comply.

Federal investigators discovered that Walker was living in Georgia. There, with the help of law enforcement, a search warrant was issued at Walker’s home. Evidence has been seized and Walker has admitted to communicating online with multiple underage boys.

Walker pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a child in a lawsuit that included his criminal behavior against three Indiana children and others.
