On Tuesday night, during her confirmation hearing, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) asked Biden Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson if she could define the term female. Proving how much he woke up, Jackson said he couldn’t define the term because he’s not a biologist. This answer was just as shocking, only NBC Nightly News Exchange managed air. With ABC World news tonight And CBS Evening news Ignores the whole debate.
Instead of airing Blackburn’s question during the hearing roundup, CBS’s Norah O’Donnell opened the segment by shouting about how the day was filled. “Republicans are attacking his record, and Democrats are defending his character.” O’Donnell reiterated that this was confirmed “Historic confirmation hearing for the first black woman nominated by the Supreme Court.”
Of ABC World news tonight Just as disgusting, Congresswoman Rachel Scott lamented that Republicans once “I’m going after this historic nominee again.” And he lamented the Republican senators on the committee “Single Focus” In Jackson’s judicial record for sentencing people lightly “Convicted of possessing or sharing child pornography.”
Despite their caching, neither ABC nor CBS publicized Judge Jackson’s inability to define the term woman.
Their achievement, NBC Nightly News White House Chief Correspondent Peter Alexander aired the exchange for which the segment was launched. “For a second day, Judge Ketanji Brown is facing heated questions from Republicans about Jackson’s alleged softening of the offense.”
Alexander then broadcast the whole exchange between Blackburn and Jackson:
Senator Marsha Blackburn: Can you give a definition of the word woman?
Ketanji Brown Jackson: Can I give a definition?
Blackburn: Yes.
Jackson: No. I can’t.
Blackburn: You can’t?
Jackson: Not in this context. I am not a biologist. If there is a debate over a definition, people make arguments and I decide by looking at the law.
ABC and CBS were clearly embarrassed to let their viewers know that the nominee for the Supreme Court nominee in Biden did not know what a woman was or refused to answer.
