Here’s some more evidence that U.S. military veterans and Indica go together like peas and carrots! Indica on Thursday announced a partnership with America’s favorite vets group and has some plans to reach out to other veterans in need.
The two plans to create a pro-American and patriotic atmosphere on the tracks and a social media campaign.
According to the following press release, Penske Entertainment is behind the move to roll out the red carpet for veterans and their families, acknowledging the importance of military service to the state of our country.
(Indianapolis) – American Legion, the country’s largest veteran service organization with nearly 2 million members, has reached a long-term agreement to become an official charity partner in the INDYCAR and NTT INDYCAR series.
INDYCAR and The American Legion will collaborate to promote a variety of Legion programs, including raising awareness about the growing problem of veterans’ suicide.
Track programs will include patriotic displays, flag hoisting and lowering ceremonies, gifts and public address announcements, while both groups will cross-promote through social media and material communication and advertising.
One of the unique aspects of the partnership is the creation of an INDYCAR Legion post, where senior and experienced family members who work in motorsport are invited to join and contribute to the goals of The Legion and INDYCAR. The partnership will be activated in Physical Legion posts in various NTT INDYCAR series race markets.
“American Legion plays an incredibly important role for our veterans, for whose service and sacrifice we are forever grateful,” said Mark Miles, President and CEO of Pensk Entertainment Corporation, which owns the INDYCAR and NTT INDYCAR series.
“This partnership will help accelerate The Legion’s goals through various promotions, and we hope that Legionners everywhere will join our team and follow our exciting series with its bold, hyper-competitive driver and precise teamwork.”
This partnership has increased American Legion’s involvement with the game, which began in 2021 with Chip Gunsy Racing. The Legion is a major co-sponsor of the 48th Carvana / American Legion Honda, run by legendary Jimmy Johnson for the entire season of the 2022 NTT Indicar series, and will be the primary sponsor of the fan-favorite Tony Canaan Honda at Indian05010105. Sunday, May 29 by Gainbridge.
The Legion will also rotate the sponsorship with the other drivers of the championship-winning Ganassi team. “Partnering with INDYCAR is not a wise thing for The American Legion,” said Dean Kessel, American Legion’s Chief Marketing Officer. “
For 103 years, Indianapolis has been the host city of our national headquarters. It is also home to ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing’.
“It simply came to our notice then. This partnership enables us to tell the story of how American Legion posts empower communities across the country. Race fans are patriots. Like Legionnaires, they believe in supporting the elderly and their families.
The bottom line is that this partnership strengthens both the American Legion and INDYCAR. ” The 2022 NTT INDYCAR Series season will run for the XPEL 375 on Sunday, March 20 at the Texas Motor Speedway.
