How dumb New York Times Do you think we? Stacey Abrams is reportedly making a glamorous cameo as the president of “United Earth” in the Paramount Plus TV series. Star Trek Discovery, The Times Political reporter Maya King wrote a piece titled Campaign “Why isn’t Abrams embracing his stardom (yet).”
The subtitle was “Georgia’s running for governor, he’s talking more about Medicaid expansion than suffrage.”
There is no mention of it anywhere in the 1,405-word story Star Trek Maybe the story was “cane” before Cameo broke that news. But the title and spin are still embarrassing.
King reports that Abrams is campaigning in a small town in Georgia and focusing on policy, not his status as a “national Democrat celebrity” whose name is synonymous with “fighting for the right to vote.”
But he has shown little desire to keep ballot access at the center of his bid. He spent his early days on the campaign trail in a small, rural town like Cathbert, where he was more interested in discussing Medicaid’s expansion and small business support than the flagship issue that helped him achieve national fame.
Mrs Abrams’ strategy is a big bet that her campaign could survive a dark election year for Democrats by capitalizing on Georgia’s rapidly changing population and winning over traveling voters who want their governor to stay above the national political arena. War
Maya King also spoke on her Twitter account about the campaign’s efforts:
My latest: On@ StasiabramsHyperlocal policy issues and focus in rural areas in the first months of his official campaign.
“I’m a Georgian at first … and my job is to anchor conversations about Georgia, especially the first few months.” https://t.co/ubFpaibd0p

Opposition “right-wing critics” who “wanted to portray her as a wounded man” (imagine!) And “Republicans are keen to portray Miss Abrams as an influential national figure – but a dangerous, extremist they will try to defeat at any cost.” . “
Speaking of “all costs”, does anyone expect that the tanker of national democratic money will not flow in the Stacey Abrams campaign? Towards the end of the story, d Bar Governor Brian Kemp allowed a quote from the camp that beat him in 2018:
“Stacey Abrams has spent the last four years behind the cover of Style-Magazine, championing the National Democrats’ dangerous far-left agenda and running a shadow campaign for president and vice president,” said Tate Mitchell, a spokesman for Mr. Kemp. “For him, for the governor, this campaign is about gaining more money and power – without putting hardworking Georgians first.”
But Maya King clearly thinks Abrams is an inspirational figure, you can see in another tweet:
