(Indianapolis, Indiana) – I broke the story of Mike Durant’s Trojan Horse bride attempt on the people of Alabama earlier this year. The story has since made waves in outlets like Fox News in the state and nationally.
But I also know that it has reached Mar-a-Lago, where President Trump has begun his own in-depth research on “RINO in uniform” trying to mimic the conservative path of the campaign.
Durant is shocked by what people are discovering, and makes it clear that he is Mitch McConnell’s best-case scenario in the Alabama Senate race.
Fox Business recently reported that Durant’s Super PAC is not only being funded by Joe Biden, Orange Harris and the main donors to the Lincoln Project, but some of McConnell’s top financial backers are pouring money to encourage Durant.
Why? Durant was recruited to the competition by the swamp. They helped him to form his campaign team. And now they’re running millions of dollars worth of irrational ads for him across Alabama.
Remember – Jack Chezkowski, the political director of the Super PAC that supported Durant, was the political director of the Lincoln Project. He has previously campaigned for President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Governor Terry McAuliffe.
The truth about Mike Durant is not being shown on TV right now. In the end, it’s because the media knows he’s the most liberal candidate in the race, and they want him to be Alabama’s next senator.
Away from the camera, Durant is trashing President Trump and whispering to insiders that he will be bidding them.
In a DC fundraiser late last year, Durant told lobbyists that his main motivation for running was opposition to President Trump and the fact that Durant sees Trump patriots as a threat to democracy.
That reality has been underscored by this big scoop – Liz Cheney is hitting the DC cocktail circuit by saying that Durant is her candidate in Alabama.
Again, this should not be a surprise.
Public records show Durant has voted in only one Republican primary in his lifetime – when John McCain was on the ballot in 2008. Durant was a national surrogate for McCain in that election cycle.
Asked in December if the integrity of the election would be “a focus (for him) or more a soundbite”, Durant replied, “Well, if you notice when I talked about my priorities, I didn’t list them. “
“This is the right time for us to focus on really important issues,” Durant added. “Let’s focus on those issues Really Matter. “
Asked if Trump would win in 2020, Durant laughed and tried to distract a crowd in Huntsville by saying, “Our time is up.”
What a joke.
His campaign is not the only one Durant has been pulling recently.
In 2020, his state-owned contractor took PPP 6 million in PPP funds from the federal government – money that was for small businesses, not military-industrial complexes – and then he turned around and dumped $ 4 million into his own campaign account just the year before. The company sells.

Even after Durant made his fortune as a government contractor, he charged the U.S. military thousands of dollars per speech to our troops. And he has been lecturing on Wall Street for the likes of Goldman Sachs, Capital One, Sigma Financial Corporation and Gulfstream.
In a live streamed speech to a group of financial advisers just last week, Durant complained, “I mean, why don’t you provide more green cards so people can come and work in this country legally? I mean, we need this. The country is centered on immigration.
“I mean, you’re wondering what’s bothering us, logically most, all over the country, of course across the state, the lack of labor. And we’re going to make it harder for immigrants who want to follow the process and get a green card to do it? I mean, no sense in telling you now – I don’t wanna ruin the suprise.

Asked in a recent radio interview, Durant said he wanted a more humble immigration law.
“[T]He thinks the issue is that the path to citizenship is very difficult, so people do not accept it. So, you know this needs to be addressed, “said Durant.
No wonder President Trump is telling allies that Durant is his nightmare in Alabama. He will be the leader of McCain 2.0 and possibly the next Gang of 8.
