Students have been removed after an assistant principal at the SoCal Middle School Committee

On Monday, an assistant principal of a Placentia Middle School in California took his own life while on campus.

Kramer Middle School vice-principal Moises Placensia reportedly shot herself in the bathroom on campus.

The students were evacuated on Monday and are expected to return to campus on Tuesday.

An assistant principal apparently committed suicide Monday morning in a private area of ​​Placenter Kramer Middle School, according to campus officials.

According to a statement from Principal Michael Young, the school’s activities were suspended after the apparent suicide of Assistant Principal Moises Plessensia in a private staff area.

Campus officials said no students or fellow members witnessed Plessencia’s death.

“Words will never be able to express our sincere regret over this loss,” Young wrote. “Although we may never know or understand why this happened, please let us know how deeply Mr. Placensia cares for your students, their education and Kramer Middle School.

Officials say mental health officials from the Placenta-Yorba Linda Unified School District will be on campus to assist students, staff and families.
